What are the different Ex Libris User groups? Which should I join? And why?
In order to get the full benefit of user group expertise, interaction with other colleagues and Ex Libris product managers – we recommend joining both EPUG-UKI and IGeLU.
EPUG-UKI
EPUG-UKI is the UK and Ireland user group. There is a yearly membership fee. Currently this is at a reduced amount of £100. Normally it is £250. For that you join a very active user group and have free entry to events. We usually schedule at least two events a year. You also get to join in with a monthly exchange of experience call.
IGeLU
IGeLU is the International Group of Ex Libris Users. There is a yearly membership fee. Currently you can join for no -fee for the first year. Membership is from all over the globe. Benefits of being a member are: access to very active mail lists; input to the Enhancement process for Ex Libris products; reduced rates for conference attendance; access to a great deal of knowledge and shared resource.
ELUNA
ELUNA is the Ex Libris User group of North America. They are a sister organisation to IGeLU. They run in parallel. IGeLU and ELUNA work together on Product Working Groups and Code of Practice Groups. They hold conference yearly.
